Adrean111Typical YouTube consI’m sure the couple has a great time homesteading and has a wealth of information, but this show is the typical YouTube con. They have no interest in simply getting the education across; they intend to milk every second of your day with unnecessarily long videos, thus exchanging longer podcasts/ videos for more $$$. After listening to a few episodes here and on YouTube, it’s obvious they could have condensed the actionable information presented in less than 20% of what they produce. These are the types of folks that would make a 20 minute video on how to change a lightbulb, just to get those advertisement dollars. Try another podcast.

MacDracorInformative and entertaining!I thoroughly enjoy every episode. They don’t hold back, and share their successes along with their failures. I’ve learned a lot and enjoyed doing it! This podcast also inspired me to finally start hunting too!

Movement MikeGreat!!I love this podcast and format!! Please continue to convert the YouTube videos into podcast format! My wife and I are homesteaders of two years in North Carolina, this podcast has helped guide us as we continue to grow and evolve our home to be as self sufficient as we can for the two of us with full time jobs and the love for animals and the outdoors!
-
MeaganFrancisLoving the new format!I’m a homestead dreamer who has been listening to Homesteady for about a year, and haven’t found anything nearly as good in the homesteading space. The quality in production value make this one of my favorite podcasts in any genre. I have been loving, the recent deep dive, episodes, and especially the ambience from the on site audio. More moo-ing, cluck-ing, and oink-ing, please! Keep up the good work.
-

Vhop11Pigs chewing is cuteThank you for all the information you pack into each episode. I like the new format. Keeps it interesting and knowing you’ll produce more podcasts this way, it’s a win win.
-
smitty2046May 8 episodeBig fan of the audio focused episode. I never have enough time in the day to watch YouTube channels, so the new format of podcast was 100% for me. Love it! Thanks. I’m sure your YouTube is awesome, I enjoy your content.
-
longcat_EnjoyableYes, please! I listen to podcasts when I’m doing chores and need to keep moving. I get more done when listening to an audio podcast. Let’s face it, there’s always more to do than time available. Please do more audio podcast. I like your format too.

Christina H from IndyInformative and Easy To FollowI love that the explanations are realistic and truthful even when they are hard truths. The recent episode on the Truth of Self Sufficiency was a great one and it was helpful that you reached out to the greater homestead community for their general experience and feedback.

Charlotte1231Favorite Homesteader Podcast! They are entertaining, informative, family friendly, amazing quality. There’s a lot of time and effort spent planning, writing, editing, recording and I appreciate it so much! My hands down favorite homesteader podcast. They’re real, practical, and honest. I love that they don’t hide the not so sunny parts of homesteading while still being encouraging to do it! Loved the newest episode! I’m totally okay with y’all reusing YouTube videos for podcasts if it means more Homesteady!! I prefer to listen to a podcast than sit and watch, I can get dishes done without feeling like I’m missing something on the screen.
-
BottledSunshineI’ve always enjoyed these episodes! The latest episode with the new format was GREAT! I loved being able to listen while I milked my cow, because as a busy mom of 3, homeschooling, and homesteading I don’t have the time to watch YouTube, but this let me get the gist of it, and find out we are ahead of the curve with about 70% of our food home grown!

lad0206Fantastic show on all things HOMESTEADINGThis is one of the best podcasts on homesteading. Austin is a fantastic presenter who keeping things real as well as entertaining. Well worth your time if you are at all interested in individual topics.. or just the fun storytelling. There is too much information, advise, recommendations and links to useful products and providers. Not afraid to admit their mistakes and all about helping others to learn.
-
Devinkr703Loving it!Just stumbled upon this podcast while on a road trip, and I am so delighted that I found it! I particularly loved the episode about a simple way to make 10 times more money on your Homestead. The guests on the show provided very useful and insightful information, and I am so excited to get to my destinations so I can start brainstorming ideas of creative homesteading items to sell!
-
tychurchSo good!Love this show so much. Great resources and enjoyable to listen to.
-
p1 everOkOk podcast but the way too much of the music transitions in and out of ideas.
-
kaylavsmilesRelatable and PracticalWe are soaking up all the education we can as we prepare to fulfill our hopes of hobby farming/homesteading. This family has been so relatable and helpful!
-
PamNaugleThe bestThis is the best I learn so much every time
-
97krysLThe best show! This is my absolute FAVORITE podcast. Ive shared it with everyone I know. However, I really miss the old intro music/riff that you used to have in the beginning of your episodes. There was something familiar and comforting about it after awhile🤣 You should totally bring it back!
-
Skaven888Family cow!!This is exactly the decision we’re faced with at the homestead right now. Thank you for those two episodes!!!
-
Beegurl16Slightly annoyedEdited. Their most recent episode is sponsored by McDonald’s. For me, this is so against what they say they’re trying to do. I can’t respect a sell out. The information is good once you finally get to it, but it gets old to see so many announcements and drama. Very inconsistent. I’ll continue to listen because the info is good when it finally comes around, but it’s not something I’d recommend to friends, I can pass the info along to them later and save them the trouble.
-
doctorwho!!Come back!!!You need to come back!!!
-
zoodle dogAmazing!!I listen every day and LOVE IT! 😍 Very informative and casual homestead talk!
-
LeptiraSound qualityI am listening to this podcast with great interest as I am new at raising sheep and goats. I wanted to hear Aunt Susie’s comments but I can’t understand a lot of what she saying. I do have some hearing loss. I would suggest that you improve the way you record. It sounds as if you are talking to her outside with some ambient noise in the background.
-
Kelli1616Fails when strays from homesteadingListened to this podcast for years and learned a ton. But these coffee breaks are just irresponsible. Austin clearly has no medical background but decided to use platform to diminish covid and promote wacky pseudoscience “cures.” It is incredibly disappointing but I cannot in good conscious recommend a show that would promote baseless and potentially dangerous ideas.
-
JaneKoenAll TrueI know Austin and Kendra personally very well and love these guys. They are very truthful, honest people who live by deep and good morals. When talking to Austin I always notice that when he plans a new podcast or youtube video it’s always in how he can help others. He recherche is excellent. Good qualities. Good qualities buddy. Keep it up. We will always be listening and watching.

Mikey22892289Inspirational!I have longed for a more sustainable life. But I’ve been caught in the rat race/corporate environment for 5 years now. This podcast has not only given me the inspiration, but also the information and knowledge I need to make the changes in my life to make the jump. We aren’t out of the rat race yet, but we have started our own backyard homestead. Thanks for what you do!
-
GardenGingerGreat for getting startedAwesome podcast! I listening to it while I work and garden. Very informative and has certainly helped the direction I am going with self sustainability/reliance.
-
trs03Very Educational!Love the podcast but the random background music bugs me.
-
Mrs. GoatyInspirational!Listening to this just makes me want to escape to the country! Thanks so much for this!!
-
Ruthanne777Happy authorOne of the reasons I was drawn to your channel was because you smile when you teach.I've been a teacher for years and I know I smile, without realizing till later, when I’m teaching what I love and what I know truly works. Besides being a great homesteader you are a great teacher. I am thrilled for these podcasts and videos!!!!!
-
ccddrrvvVery informativeDon’t know why their are reviews about being annoyed at the music. I like the music. To each their own. Who cares? This is a creative outlet while also being super helpful. Thanks so much for all the info. Very easy listen. Love the back and forth with accountant mike. And his wife.
-
